I am a Speech-Language Pathologist with over 20 years
of clinical experience working in a variety of settings such
as hospitals, outpatient therapy centers, educational facilities and early intervention organizations. I created my private practice in 2014. My passion is working with the pediatric population, providing assessment, intervention and support services for a range of impairments, speech sound and language disorders, including of expressive and receptive language delays, articulation/phonological, childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), autism spectrum disorders (ASD), auditory processing, pragmatic language disorders, and Orofacial myofunctional therapy (OMT).I have experience with audiologic (hearing) habilitation who are deaf or hard of hearing. In addition, I am bilingual (Spanish, ASL) and have extensive knowledge and experience in diagnostic and intervention services for culturally and linguistically diverse children with various communication disorders.
I am committed to creating positive and motivating experiences for children and provide support to families in carrying over skills to everyday routines. I promote neurodiversity-affirming practices, encourage child and family connections, and support child’s strengths and areas of interests in my therapy approach.
Advocacy and collaboration with other professionals is an important part in treating the whole child. I understand the complexity of navigating health services and support parents with educational opportunities, as well as, develop intervention plans based on each child's individual communication skills and the needs of the family.
